Nick Scott leads a research lab specializing in microbial glycobiology and quantitative proteomics. After completing his PhD in 2012 at the University of Sydney (Australia) Dr Scott undertook postdoctoral training in Canada (University of Alberta and University of British Columbia, 2012-15) followed by Australia (University of Melbourne, 2016-17) before establishing his independent research group in 2018 within the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Melbourne. His team focuses on developing mass spectrometry-based approaches and enrichment tools to identify and monitor microbial glycosylation events, enhancing our understanding of these protein modifications.
